The Defining Of Semantics

Standard
Semantics is one branch of linguistics that we must know. However, prior to further discuss what can be learned in semantics, it would be nice if we know some of the definitions of semantics expressed by some of the following experts:
"The word semantics is derived from the Greek semaino, meaning, to signify or mean. Semantics is part of the larger study of signs, Semiotics. It is the part that the offer
section with words as signs (symbols) and language as a system of signs (words as symbols). "(Hipkiss, 1995: ix)
According Hipkiss semantic word taken from the Greek Semaino, meaningful Marking or define. Semantics is part of a field study on a broader meaning that Semiotics. Semantics also section about symbols, signs and language as a unity symbol system.Meanwhile, Saeed (2003: 3) briefly interpret the semantics as follows:
"Semantics is the study of meaning communicated through language."
Shorter again, Hurford and Heasley (1983: 1) defines the semantics are very simple, they say:
"Semantics is the study of meaning in Language."
In addition, Palmer (1976: 1) interpret the semantics as one part of the branch of linguistics. He explained that:
"Semantics is the technical term used to refer to the study of meaning, and since meaning is a part of language, semantics is a part of linguistics."
According to Palmer, semantics is the term used that refers to the science field of meaning, and because the meaning is part of the language, the semantics is part of the branch of linguistics.Actually there are many language experts, linguists, linguists who give some definition or meaning of these semantics. But everything is average reveals that semantics is a part of linguistics which deals with meaning. Maybe that was all he could tell, More or less I apologize if there are errors in typing or translation.
